Agency Networking Initiative Expands Criminal Justice Learning for PCTI Students

October 8th, 2015

Students of Passaic County Technical Institute’s (PCTI) Academy of Criminal Justice & Public Safety embraced learning outside of the classroom when they journeyed to the county public safety academy to meet with members from the Wayne Fire Department (Company #7), the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department, and Wayne Ambulance for their annual Agency Networking Initiative.

The event highlighted up close and personal exchanges in order to teach students the importance of cross-communication between agencies in emergency situations.  The focus was collaborative, engaging, and proved to be an eye-opening educational experience for all.

PCTI’s former School of Criminal Justice was upgraded to Academy status this fall, thanks to the creation of comprehensive two- and four-year college articulation agreements and high student and parent demand.
