February 2nd, 2020

During Career and Technical Education Month in February, the New Jersey Council on County Vocational Technical Schools is highlighting successful graduates of the county’s 21 vocational technical schools.

Bleona Bazellari of Little Ferry is a 2018 graduate of Bergen County Technical Schools in Paramus, where she was enrolled in the healthcare occupations program. She continued her education after graduating, earning an associate’s degree in applied science. She works as a patient care technician at Hackensack University Medical Center

“The education I received at Bergen County Technical School in Paramus prepared me for my success today. What helped me the most to succeed was the shop I was in and for Ms. Carey, our instructor. She pushed me to work harder and the lessons we learned and tests we took helped me to get my associates degree in applied science early and my patient care technician certification. What also helped me was all my teachers that I had throughout the four years I was at Bergen Tech. I appreciate them for helping me.”
