Culinary arts students at Gloucester County Institute of Technology have been very busy over the past few weeks.
More than 500 requests for holiday pies and cakes came in through the school’s online store and must be baked by students by Tuesday, Nov. 25, in order to ensure that people have desserts for their Thanksgiving meals.
GCIT’s reputation as the place to go in the county for quality holiday baked goods is growing. The school store received almost twice as many orders this year as it did in 2013.
More work for the students, but they are loving it.
