Hudson County Schools of Technology honored Louis Gargiulo Co., Inc., a third-generation family owned and operated business specializing in industrial, commercial, and municipal construction, as its Business Partner of the Year.
The award is given annually to a county vocational technical school business partner for outstanding contributions to career and technical education. Business partners play a variety of roles, including serving on county vocational technical school program advisory boards, offering opportunities for students to gain valuable work experience, donating equipment, or serving as mentors and role models for students.
Gargiulo has completed construction projects for many industry leaders, including: Exxon, Bendix-Honeywell, Block Drug Co., Ciba Giegy, ITT, Best Foods CPC, Sea-Land, and Tropicana.
Peter Gargiulo, the CEO of Gargiulo, has been a member of the HCST Foundation Advisory Board, since May 2019.
The company has donated flower beds for High Tech High School’s Environmental Science & Sustainability Academy that it designed and constructed.
The company also conducted substantial renovations to Hudson County Prep High School, including new classrooms, boiler room and entry and exit ways to improve student learning experience in the CTE field.
