During Career and Technical Education Month in February, the New Jersey Council on County Vocational Technical Schools is highlighting successful graduates of the county’s 21 vocational technical schools.
Alexandra Perez completed the medical assisting program at Atlantic County Institute of Technology in 2020.
Perez said she is grateful that she had the opportunity to attend ACIT for the medical assisting program.
“The hands-on training prepared me for my future job as a medical assistant and put to test all my skills and knowledge,” she said. “ACIT helped me find the job that I have now which I am very happy with.”
Perez said working in the healthcare field made her realize she wanted to further her career. She intends to continue her education to become a registered nurse.
“I would have never gotten the chance to make my decision if I didn’t go to ACIT,” she said.
