GCIT, RCGC and Nemours announce the new curriculum to help young people at both schools in Gloucester County better understand the health care system

Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC) and Gloucester County Institute of Technology (GCIT) have announced a new partnership agreement with Nemours Children’s Health System to provide young adults with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand the health care system, and to prepare them to become their own health care advocates.

The Navigating the Health Care System health unit curriculum will be provided to students at RCGC and GCIT, and is designed to tackle health illiteracy by providing young people with guidance on finding appropriate care, understanding medical history, insurance and privacy, and scheduling office visits.
