Fourteen students graduated from a special Passaic County Institue of Technology CNC Machinist program, which trained them in “computer numerical control machining” and prepared them for jobs in the industry, on August 16.

The program, created through a $74,000 grant from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD) in partnership with the New Jersey Community College Consortium for Workforce & Economic Development, ManufactureNJ and PCTI, is one of five separate training efforts funded by the LWD that are designed to give candidates skills that are in demand among employers in New Jersey’s key industries.
