PCTI Receives Accolades For Financial Literacy Program

The Working in Support of Education (w!se) financial literacy program recognized Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI) as a Blue Star School at the organization’s Money POWER Conference for Financial Literacy in New York City.

PCTI financial literacy instructors Bob DeFillipis and the late Thomas Woods were also recognized as w!se Gold Star Teachers.  More than 90% of their students passed the w!se Certification Test.

w!se is an educational 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to providing educational support services nationwide, building financial literacy, fostering business and social entrepreneurship, and preparing students for college and the global workplace.   The program strives to prepare students for the future by teaching them to become financially literate in all areas of education.

w!se serves urban secondary school students in low-to-moderate-income areas.  Extensive partnerships with schools and the private sector and a reputation for sustainable programs with measurable results have made w!se a leader in the educational community.
