Six County Vocational-Technical Schools Make US News & World Report “Best STEM High Schools” List

Six New Jersey County vocational-technical schools were included on the US News and World Report list of best science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) high schools in America, announced on May 30.

High Technology High School in Lincroft, part of the Monmouth County Vocational School District, was ranked #1 nationally in the US News survey.

Also included on the list are:
Bergen Academies (Hackensack, Bergen County Technical Schools)
Union County Magnet High School (Scotch Plains, Union County Vocational-Technical Schools)
Union County Academy for Allied Health Sciences (Scotch Plains, Union County Vocational-Technical Schools)
Monmouth County Academy of Allied Health and Science (Neptune, Monmouth County Vocational School District)
Union County Academy for Information Technology (Scotch Plains, Union County Vocational-Technocal Schools)

A total of 22 New Jersey public high schools were included on the list of 250 schools top STEM schools.

According to US News, in compiling the list the magazine’s staff “looked at the top 500 public schools from our latest ‘Best High Schools’ rankings, and then evaluated their students’ participation and success in Advanced Placement science and math tests.”
