Three PCTI students honored with AP Scholar Awards

PCTI seniors Scott Boorman (Wayne), Christopher Valencia (Clifton) and Aleksey Strekalov (Wayne) showcase their AP Scholar Awards

Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI) students have been recognized with AP Scholar Awards thanks to their outstanding accomplishments on their AP (Advanced Placement) exams.

Aleksey Strekalov and Scott Boorman, both of Wayne, earned the AP Scholar with Honor award, which is presented to students who receive an average of 3.25 on all AP Exams and scores 3 or higher on four or more on their exams.

Christopher Valencia of Clifton received the AP Scholar with Distinction award, which is presented to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams with scores of 3 or higher on five or more of their exams.

The AP Scholar Awards are significant academic distinctions that students can cite among their credentials on applications and resumes.
